CES 2012 or Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is the famous place for new consumer electronic devices. CES 2012 showed the thinnest smart phone Ascend P1 S from Huawei. It has less than 7 millimeters and includes Cortext-A9 processor of 1.5 gigahertz. The device from Huawei also incorporates Super AMOLED display and SGX 540 graphical accelerator.

An iconic ASUS Transformer TF101-A1 10.1-Inch Tablet (Dock Sold Separately) now includes Prime model which is the first device with quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and IPS-display . As a matter of fact this is the first consumer tablet on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung presented ultra-portative notebook of Series 9. In fact, this is not ultrabook but a compact premium laptop with Intel Core i5/i7, 8 gigabytes of memory and SSD drive with 128 gigabytes. What makes different a new 9 series and Samsung ultrabooks ULTRA is just 2 seconds required to return to work from the sleep mode.

TVs with Access to Android Market Not Working?

Sharp serving as a key sponsor of approaching Euro 2012 in Ukraine and Poland offered a TV that would mystify the most demanding football fans. This gamer’s dream runs on Intel X79 chipset with audio processor SupremeFX III and a function GameFirst switching resources to game from other programs . AsusRampage IV is available with Battlefield 3 game at the price exceeding four hundred US dollars .

Two recent laptops using HM65 Intel chipset

Consumers who cannot wait any longer for Intel Ivy Bridge release can in the meantime consider laptops based on Intel HM65 motherboard. Intel HM65 chipset is compatible with Intel processors i3 through i7 and acquired a lot of attention recently. If you did not know that Ukrainian Orange Revolution has ended almost a decade ago, you would think that Sony VAIO CA sends at least part of its proceeds to support this questionable cause. There is no doubt that the laptop as bright as Fanta cola will definitely attract attention even in a empty museum in Vienne or Tokyo. If Fanta is not your drink or you are not a fan of revolutions than you can pick up a neutral black, white or dark blue color. After you recover a bit after rather wierd first impression, you will find out that Sony VAIO CA in principle will work for advanced users with other features of this notebook. The model that we tested had Intel Core i3 processor and 4 gigabytes of memory sufficient for performing multiple tasks. A medium sized 14-inch screen somewhat disappoints by a limited angle of comfortable view so this model will not replace a plasma television set. The device is equipped with a keyboard and three additional buttons that start the online browser and Sony own apps. AMD hybrid video improves on the laptop performance and extends the laptop running time.

LG P430: Do you still need a built-in optical drive?

Another laptop on Intel HM65 recommended by dpk.com.ua online magazine is LG P430. Unlike other 14-inch mobile computers this one is quite compact because LG engineers managed to integrate it in a small case. Moreover, LG P430 display block is one of the thinnest on the market. Despite it thinness the model includes a productive Intel Core i5-2410M and a hybrid video system based on NVIDIA Optimus framework. Although medium size laptops are typically not equipped with an optical drive, LG P430 has DVD RW as larger models do. The main disadvantage of of LG P430 is its reduced battery life of about 90 minutes when demanding applications are used. However, in a less demanding mode ,i.e. uploading photos on Picasa it can run four times longer. It looks like LG P430 will satisfy “road warriors” as well as University Professors who often travel between New York and London but still need to check the Facebook publicly traded stock quote. It would also be a great idea to supplement either laptop with an additional separate display such as Asus PA238Q or other 23-inch model. Instead of just 14 inches of Sony VAIO and LG P430 a student or a nurse can enjoy entire 23 inches of great resolution for less than 400 dollars. Asus PA238Q as another model in ProArt is characterized by great look and many convenient features. For example, you can turn the display into portrait mode to look through a long html document. This is not the cheapeast option, however, so if design does not matter much you will have no problem with a cheaper alternative.
